About the Opportunity
Parkes Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interests from employees interested in undertaking relief opportunities across the Operations team.
These opportunities provide employees with the chance to work in different areas of Operations, gain practical experience, develop new skills and build their knowledge of Council's services and operations.

Remuneration and Benefits
The Grade and Pay Rates applicable to the position are stated in the above table.
Starting rate will be based upon skills and experience.
About You
To be successful in these positions you will need to have:
- Current and maintained NSW Driver's licence
- Hold the relevant level of Drivers Licence to drive Trucks (Heavy Rigid or Medium Rigid)
- SafeWork NSW Construction Induction (White Card)
- Relevant knowledge of or work experience in the role you wish to relieve in
- Evidence of competence in operating plant or willingness to obtain competence
- Proficiency in the use of Council's technological devices (computer, ipad, iPhone, appenate)
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Demonstrated competence with Council's WHS Policy and Procedures
- A commitment to Quality Control
- Demonstrated commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity principles
- Demonstrated attributes and work values to become a valuable team member
- Leadership skills for roles that involve supervision of a team
It will be highly favourable is you possess any of the following:
- Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent
- Traffic Control Qualifications: Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control plans
- Competency certification in the operation of the above plant
- Current First Aid Certificate
