About the Opportunity
We are seeking a capable and driven Water Projects Supervisor to lead the delivery of Council’s water and wastewater capital and maintenance projects.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will coordinate the scoping, planning and delivery of works, supervise construction crews and contractors and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with legislation and Council standards.
This is a key position in maintaining reliable water and wastewater services for our community while driving strong performance, quality outcomes and continuous improvement across Council’s water infrastructure network.

About You
The successful applicant requires strong communication and teamwork skills. To be successful in this position you will need:
- Certificate IV Leadership and Management OR extensive experience in Civil Engineering (preferably in a Local Government setting)
- Current and maintained NSW Driver's Licence
- SafeWork NSW Construction induction (White Card)
- Experience with supervision and coordination of teams and projects
- Experience in providing estimates for works, tracking budgets and monitoring staff performance
- Demonstrate ability to contribute positively to the team environment
It will be highly favorable if you possess any of the following:
- Qualification in Project Management
- Trade Wase Awareness

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment.
The role has been evaluated as being Grade 13 of the Council's salary structure with a commencing salary of $83,985 ($42.50 per hour). The commencing salary to be determined upon the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful candidates.
