About the Opportunity
We are seeking expressions of interest from staff for the Relief Aerodrome Operator position at Parkes Regional Airport.
This role is integral to ensuring the continued safety, compliance and presentation of airport facilities. As a Relief Aerodrome Operator, you will perform a range of duties that support the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the aerodrome.
Relief coverage will be required during rostered days off, weekends and other periods of staff leave. Penalty rates and overtime will apply in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.

About You
To be successful in this position, you will be willing to obtain the following:
- Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Airband Radio Licence
You must posses:
- Current and maintained NSW Drivers Licence
- Willingness to sign a Child Safety Code of Conduct or have a current Working with Children Check
- Knowledge of the role, functions and responsibilities of Local Government
It will be desirable for you to have:
- First Aid Certificate
- Certificate III in Aviation
- Chainsaw Level 1 - Trim and Cut felled trees
- ChemCert Certificate - Safe Use of Chemicals
Benefits
- The Grade applicable to the position is Grade 8.
- The base hourly rate is between $32.72 to $37.63 per hour (starting hourly rate to be determined dependent upon the qualifications and experience of successful applicant)
- On Call Allowance - $25 on weekdays, $50 on weekends and public holidays - up to $225 per week when rostered.
- Employer Superannuation of 12% applies
- Employment conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023
