About the Opportunity

As we prepare for the exciting week of Parkes Elvis Festival, we are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from all Council staff who are keen to support the delivery of the festival across a range of roles.

This is a great opportunity to be directly involved in a significant event, contribute to a vibrant team and gain additional experience and exposure across departments.

The Parkes Elvis Festival will be held from Wednesday, 7th January 2026 - Sunday, 11th January 2026, however we will be looking for support between the period of Monday, 5th January 2026 to Monday, 12th January 2026 to assist with the setting up and packing down of the Festival.

About You

We are looking for staff who meet the following key criteria:   

  • Demonstrated reliability and availability across the festival period
  • A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Comfortable in a fast paced environment
  • Previous experience in events or customer facing roles (desirable but not essential)
  • Current and maintained NSW Drivers Licence

Key Information

Before submitting your EOI, please be aware of the following guidelines:

  • Regular workdays may be altered to include any day between Monday, 5th January to Sunday, 11 January 2026.
  • Working hours may be adjusted in line with operational needs, including start and finish times, location of work, duration, and frequency.
  • Overtime or time-in-lieu (TIL) will only be permitted with written approval from the Festival Director/Producer (Brendan Shipley).
  • Rosters will be developed based on your standard weekly hours.
  • Penalty rates will apply for after hours or on weekends.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment.
